What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I find great joy in inspiring passion in students so that they can use knowledge to build great things. As a Student at the University of Sydney in Software Engineering and Philosophy, I have a great passion for building great things and Using language to influence. I believe these are skills we start learning in the earliest stages of high school. To Inspire just one student in these passions is what I teach for.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my strength is to teach concepts in their simplest form and build from there. This allows students to not only understand what to do but why to do it. I believe my HSC results in my subject areas are also a testament to this where I achieved a band 6 in advanced math, geography and an 89 in English. I have also achieved outstanding marks in my Software Engineering and Electrical Engineering units in my first year of University which are a reflection of my ability in these areas.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
First is to teach the student not only what to do but why they do it. This results in greater retention and a sense of meaning toward what they are studying which has a great motivating effect. Second, is to base learning off practice questions. I believe experience is the best and fastest way to learn - thus i will focus on producing good practice questions for students. Finally, i believe patience is an absolute must as the student must feel that they are in environment to make mistakes as this is how we learn.
