What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most rewarding and enjoyable part of tutoring is the satisfaction that a student's improved confidence and understanding of a subject brings. As well, being able to adapt and adjust my means of explaining concepts to suit the needs of a specific student is enjoyable and engaging.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor is my strong desire to witness an individual's improvement in a subject. Having been a diligent and conscientious high school student myself, I have picked up a variety of tips and tricks to change an individual's entire approach towards a subject. As well, my recent memory of the year 5-12 content in both maths and english and the extent to which I am in touch with common misunderstandings within a student's interpretation of the course content, enable me to quickly identify and eliminate confusion as it is created.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is put an emphasis on a student's thorough understanding of the content. An english tutor must help students to better articulating their thoughts and emotions. This can be implemented through targeted reading and homework tasks which require increased emotional thinking. These tasks should require a student to write in a variety of forms such as imaginatives, reflectives and discursives. Essays are given more emphasis in later years and thus it's essential to demonstrate to a student how best to construct and articulate a well-thought out argument.
