What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy being able to break concepts down and simplify processes for students at their own pace. Tutoring enables me to target the light bulb moment and scaffold students individually and in small groups to form greater understanding. I find it rewarding to see my students progress over time and to watch their confidence develop.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am patient. It is important that tutors work at the speed of the learner and encourage and scaffold them accordingly. I am organised, punctual and confident. I understand the need to approach teaching and learning from multiple angles and that not one size fits all when learning new concepts.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

It is important for tutors to listen to their students. Positivity relationships must be developed between students and tutors, using patience and trust. It is important to be open to all learning styles and to plan accordingly. If a tutor can adapt their teaching to their individual student, engaging learning will take place.
