What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I've always enjoyed helping out others, especially academically. I derive so much joy from seeing students improve and gain confidence in their abilities, and particularly when they have a 'lightbulb' moment where everything makes sense, it is the ultimate reward for all the hard work both the student and I have put in.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Each individual's unique learning habits are reflected in my approach in teaching them. I consider a student's academic level and cater to their current understanding, but I will never talk down to students and always try to challenge them in an engaging way.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is to pay close attention to their student's struggles and needs and tentatively address them. This not only applies for challenging areas of study, but also for general approaches to their learning. Whereas it may be beneficial to build up one student's confidence, another may require more enthusiasm for the subject. Tutors help develop lifelong learning habits and that can only be accomplished by noticing the minute details and working through these over time.
