What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

As someone who has done volunteer work as a tutor (with the Smith Family Student2Student reading program for example) my favourite thing about tutoring is seeing my studentsโ€™ confidence rise once they understanding something new or master a previously challenging concept. Seeing my students succeed and gain confidence in themselves is absolutely incredible, invaluable and extremely rewarding.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

I believe I have the ability to adjust to diverse learning styles and tailor my approach to each individual so that learning enjoyable and effective. Being an attentive listener is one of my strengths, and I pride myself on being supportive and genuinely invested in my students' progress. I would absolutely love the chance to help students in achieving their learning objectives by creating a fun and supportive environment.

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

I think that the most important thing for a tutor to do for their students is listen to them and continuously adapt their teaching method perhaps by finding new ways to explain concepts or creating new activities and games to help break down challenging content. Learning can be difficult which is why I also believe that it is also important to be patient and kind, and also model the lessons around the student by identifying how they learn best and tailoring explanations to their needs (perhaps by identifying if they are a visual or kinesthetic learner for example and making lesson plans accord
