What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love seeing the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment a student gets once they finally understand a difficult concept. Knowing that as a tutor, I was able to help them achieve their academic goals makes tutoring a very enjoyable and rewarding job for me.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As someone who just graduated from Year 12 in 2022, I believe I am able to relate to and understand the students just starting or are going through their ATAR journey. Additionally, during ATAR, my maths teacher was not the best at teaching, meaning my friends and I had to teach the concepts to ourselves and to each other, which forced us to develop our critical thinking skills and to fully understand concepts in our own ways rather than regurgitating what was covered in class. I believe this has allowed me to better simplify and teach concepts to those also learning math.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing tutors can do for their students is to understand the unique needs and strengths of each student. This means the teaching approach taken by the tutor should be adapted to match the preferences and learning styles of the student. Being able to build a positive relationship with the student is also crucial, as it will boost the student's confidence and motivation, helping to foster a lifelong love for learning.
