What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I just love being able to help kids who are struggling with maths and chemistry (and PE), just as I used to when I was in school. It's almost a nostalgic feeling helping them with stuff that I remember from school. I love being able to explain to students in different ways how to get to a solution, and learning how each student learns and how each of them get to a solution.
I mostly just enjoy that feeling when I explain something to a student, and then they fully understand what they couldn't understand before I helped them. It really is a lovely feeling!!!!
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am able to identify the different ways that different students learn and can cater to their needs. Especially in maths and chemistry, where there is more than one way to get to the one solution. I might have one way that I would solve a problem, but the student might not understand that way. So I find a different way and try to explain it in the simplest terms to make them understand either my method or another method. I really enjoy trying to find different ways to solve the same problem, and trying to find different ways to explain a method.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is to be someone that can focus on just them (1-on-1), where a teacher cannot, and to find a specific way to teach them based on the students needs (i.e. How the student learns best?). A teacher is unable to do this as much as they have many students to focus on. But tutors can cater to a specific student's needs much for effectively.
