What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Working with children has always been a deeply rewarding and fulfilling experience for me. My previous role as an assistant teacher at Brightminds allowed me to provide vital support to teachers by handling administrative tasks and assisting in the classroom. Additionally, my current position as a tutor for university students residing at College Row brings me immense joy as I share my knowledge with peers who require academic assistance. This role has also been instrumental in enhancing my communication skills and nurturing my empathy. It's truly a mutually beneficial learning journey.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my key strengths lies in my patience with students and my creativity as an educator. I firmly believe that there is no one-size-fits-all teaching style, so I continuously explore innovative approaches to meet each student's unique learning needs. Previously, working at Kiddy Farmland, during 1.5-hour tours along a nature learning trail, I had the privilege of engaging children in hands-on learning experiences. This experience allowed me to develop my ability to communicate complex concepts in a way that is accessible and engaging for young learners.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
An outstanding tutor goes beyond teaching; they ignite a love for learning. They adapt their teaching to fit each student's needs, making it engaging and relatable. They're patient, encourage questions, and boost confidence. These tutors inspire students to tackle challenges and find answers independently. They don't just teach subjects; they impart valuable life skills like problem-solving and adaptability. Most importantly, they create a supportive environment where students feel safe to learn and no afraid of challenges.
