What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Firstly, it benefits me that I could revise things that I had learnt so I do not forget it. Tutoring could also be a way to build connection with a lot of people from different ages. Last but not least, the feeling of pride when my student succeed in what they are doing is my motivation to be a tutor.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
1. Patience
2. Provide some study techniques and tips (e.g. study little by little every day not study everything a day before exam, etc)
3. Help students understand the material in an easier way (e.g. using example or concept not memorizing, etc)
4. Help students to love what they are studying
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing is patience as not all students are fast learner. Sometimes repetition is needed in tutoring and we need to stay calm and cool while explaining it repeatedly. Also, communication skills are essential. A good tutor knows how to deliver the subject so that it is easy to be understood by the student.
