What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy tutoring, for knowing that I can assist someone during their academic journey provides me with joy. However, if I were to pick the most enjoyable thing about tutoring, it would be watching my students grow and prosper. Indeed, it is a wonderful thing to watch students blossom academically, especially because they have done so with your assistance. I find this incredibly rewarding, which is why I currently aspire to work within this role commercially.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

My strengths as a tutor would be that I can work within any age range. I currently babysit my two nephews (5 & 2) and niece (5 months old), so I am favoured amongst younger children. However, I also have the ability to converse with older students. My brother is currently in year 11, and I do my all to assist him with his learning. Additionally, I recently graduated in 2021, where I would undertake informal tutoring sessions with my peers during our breaks. Given this, I would say that I am a valuable tutor, for I can work with younger students, and with students who are completing their VCE.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I believe that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to develop a friendly bond with the student. This is the most important thing a tutor must establish. Without this bond, I find that students are less receptive to the tutor's assistance and overall, less motivated to attend tutoring. However, with this bond, students are more eager to learn, listen to their tutor, and ultimately, the tutoring experience is enhanced.
