What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

In tutoring, I enjoy how I can interact with students, not just as a teacher, but as a friend in their school journey. I believe students can achieve their best when tutors can understand their needs and capabilities and tailor lessons exclusively for them. I enjoy using resources and planning lessons creatively that students can appreciate and understand. Tutoring allows us to revisit topics regularly, helping me form a strong knowledge base of the subject and continuously improve and expand my knowledge. Importantly, tutoring allows me to witness the continuous improvement of my students.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Each student is unique and has their special abilities. I recognise and construct lessons that encourage and support the students to do their best and understand concepts within their abilities. I can build a friendly relationship with my students in which they feel comfortable interacting and asking me any questions or concerns they have. I am patient and can communicate well with students and parents. I dedicate time and effort to preparing lessons in advance to provide a seamless tutoring experience. I can explain concepts using different methods according to a student's preference.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I strive to understand my students as complete individuals taking into consideration their situations and backgrounds eg If a student has certain learning disabilities, I will prepare lessons utilising resources such as pictures, and videos that will engage them and help them understand the concepts well. Strengthening the student's ability to use the knowledge of the concepts at an application level is more important than just memorizing pages. I aim to create engaging lessons that motivate students to explore and learn more about the subject.
