Tutoring not only allows me to develop and help build an understanding with the person I am working with, but also benefits my own knowledge. Being able to work through and solve a problem is a skill I place great value in, so the opportunity to assist others in improving and developing this skill is extremely rewarding. I am able to explain clearly and in multiple ways if needed, the steps to solving the problem at hand. I am patient and have the ability to adjust if a student is unable to grasp a concept at first. I place great importance on not providing the answers in a way that has no value to the student themselves. I believe primarily, a tutor should not give the answer nor should they provide assistance in a way that does not allow for the student to improve. The tutor should be able to explain and work through anything that the student is unable to in a way that is clear and is understood by the student themselves.
