What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring is about the student and the tutor's job is to explore how to deliver content and engage their critical thinking that is catered to each individual. It's important that content is understood by the student and when the teaching method that aligns with their processing style is explored, it also unlocks possibilities in many other aspects of life. This encourages them to apply this thinking, whether it be in an academic field or otherwise. Watching students gain confidence, achieve personal growth and take a proactive approaches to their education is rewarding/encouraging for the student.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am passionate about fostering interpersonal relationships which each individual, meaning that we can create an open and collaborative space, understanding how to learn in a way that best suits them. I am also actively exploring learning techniques with neuro-diverse students as this has been a big barrier I have experienced growing up. It is important, as an educator, to make sure that each student gets the education that they deserve.

Having a personal passion and drive to learn will lead a student to becoming a holistic and proactive learner, guiding their personal growth and conceptualisation of information. When a student fully engages with their education in a healthy and positive manner, the benefits extend beyond the classroom as this attitude can be applied to other aspects of their life. As a tutor, being able to encourage and foster this healthy mentality and encourage students to take their learning into their own hands is vital for each individual student to consume and engage with their academic content.
