What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
As a tutor, I enjoy building meaningful connections with students and helping them learn various concepts/topics that might be new or difficult in an engaging manner and environment. Tutoring is very fulfilling to me as it enables me to make a positive difference or contribution, however small, in the lives of young children and allows me the opportunity to support them as they reach their goals. In addition, I also enjoy practicing and further challenging my expertise in tutoring thus far with the intention to continue building my skills as an accomplished tutor.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor, my strengths include organisation and reliability when it comes to teaching. I am friendly, respectful and approachable for students, parents and colleagues. Whilst tutoring, I exercise patience and am always willing to help students in any way necessary and appropriate. I am keen to share my knowledge with other students and possess a strong work ethic in my role. In addition, I have prior tutoring experience which provides me the advantage of being familiar with tutoring settings, communicating effectively with students/parents as well as efficient problem solving skills.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is investing time and effort into getting to know a student and ultimately understanding the student's learning style in order to assist the student in the best way possible. It is not always useful to teach every student in the same manner as different children learn differently, therefore it is essential for a tutor to possess adaptability and willingness to cater for the student's learning capabilities to enhance their learning experience. I also consider positive reinforcement as another important thing for tutors to maintain.
