What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing students become more confident and develop a passion for a subject they were struggling with. Giving students the tools they need to problem solve and seeing the satisfaction they gain elates my mood also.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

As a mathematics undergrad student, my experience as an independent contractor and my self-discipline are my greatest strengths. My style of tutoring is all about ensuring the student understands key underlying concepts of what they are learning by correcting any cracks in their foundation and building up from there.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to listen and prompt critical thinking. It is hard to know what is best for a student unless you are constantly listening to them and understanding their reasoning. Get the student to understand why they came to that conclusion, and present new ideas to them to expand their thinking or thought provoking questions. Whether it is in the field of Maths or English, it is very important not to simply give them an answer, but to effectively guide them to the right way of determining one to develop future problem solving ability.
