What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring allows me to interact with a wide range of different students and form long-lasting connections. The impact that you can have can be everlasting, and just being able to see them smile and be happy after understanding a problem they once found difficult is one of the most wonderful things to experience. Tutoring builds on independence as it allows me to make my own lesson plans whilst deciding on strategies that I would like to use and adapting these based on each student. It also gives me plenty of flexibility in managing my commitments, thus building my time management skills.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have strong communication skills, as I can clearly communicate with students about any questions they may have and can explain complex things in a more simplified way. I am enthusiastic and creative, as I have many strategies that I can use to make a lesson more engaging and exciting to them. I am a good listener and patient since I understand that each student requires different learning styles. Hence, this allows me to adapt the learning pace to suit the student better and connect with them more personally, making them more comfortable in addressing any misunderstandings.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A strong relationship with the student allows them to be more confident in asking questions and trust in sharing their ideas and worries without feeling embarrassed, as this might not always be easy in a classroom setting. Being patient is essential as learning a new concept is not easy, and being frustrated with them may lead to them being discouraged so by being attentive to them, they will feel more confident in addressing their concerns. Adaptiveness is essential as every student learns differently, so adapting the approach to each student allows them to feel that they are being supported.
