What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I thoroughly enjoy teaching and would love to contribute back to the local community by helping guide students through their formative schooling years. My motivation to tutor is therefore deeply personal.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my strengths are my ability to break down and explain things in simpler language (which I do often in my day job as a lawyer) and my ability to listen to students so that I am not just repeating content to them but rather guiding their learning. This is a big focus of tutoring at the university level and I have learned through tutoring roles at this level.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I consider the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to be a constant supporting presence and to increase their confidence in their own knowledge and skills. From my experience as a high school and uni tutor, I observed many students who did not struggle with the concepts they were being taught but instead struggled with developing a disciplined routine of study and seeing the bigger picture of where their studies can take them. I see this as another facet of tutoring.
