What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being part of a journey with students where they grow from someone with less confidence in their ability or in the subject, into someone who does not fear challenges and is confident enough to tackle them head on. I also enjoy growing with the students. Every time I tutor someone, at the end of it all, I too have grown.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very attentive and know the importance of letting your student know that they are understood and that you do not judge them or make them feel weak. I also think I am very detail orientated and so I tend to make sure I am thoroughly ready for a lesson without missing out any important pieces of information. I am also a funny person who tries to make learning fun. One of my favourite strengths are persistence and perseverance. I believe failures are essential for growth and what matters is what you do after you fall. I strive for excellence in whatever I do.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe each student has a set goal in their minds. Therefore, the most important thing that I think I can do for a student, is to make sure they reach their desired goal and preferably even surpass it. Work needed to help understand the use of the formula for finding area of a full circle and using that to find area of half a circle or a quarter circle.
Went over practise exam given by teacher. Hugo showed great confidence when dealing with decimal numbers as well as calculations on circumference.

We focused mainly on statistics including mean, mode etc. Hugo grasped the concept of finding mean and mode quite quickly. He also seemed to understand how to use and interpret a stem and leaf diagram. Hugo is comfortable with finding IQR (Inter quartile range).
At times, Hugo forgets to put numbers in ascending order first before finding the median.
