What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
During my HSC studies, I engaged in a valuable revision strategy of teaching my peers and family to reinforce my understanding of key concepts. This endeavour heightened my appreciation for the intricacies involved in effectively conveying information to others. I discovered that teaching complex ideas in a simplified manner served as a refreshing respite from the monotony of endless practice papers. Teaching has become a welcomed challenge that I now look forward to tackling with enthusiasm.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I know that everyone learns differently and I'm down to go over stuff as much as it takes for my students to get it. I understand the topics in depth with some out of content syllabus as well which allows me to answer the important why questions students often ask so that they truly understand the topic. Rather than simply reading of a book during my teaching I prefer allowing the students to teach themselves through more questions driving learning. Plus, I get what it's like to struggle with something, so I go at your pace. And, most importantly, I'm super passionate about what I teach.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Based on my personal experience of teaching, I firmly believe that one of the most crucial aspects of facilitating student learning is establishing a strong rapport with each student. This involves actively listening to their thoughts and feelings regarding the subject matter, and cultivating a nurturing student-teacher relationship founded on mutual respect. When students feel valued and understood by their instructors, they are more likely to be receptive to the learning process and to engage in meaningful academic exploration.
