I believe that my strengths as a tutor are my ability to empathise with students rather than sympathise as I was in their shoes not too long ago. I believe this level of understanding and emotional capacity creates a strong bond between the student and myself which promotes a more enriching experience for the student. I also believe that due to my recent experience in the secondary system I am able to inspire students to excel as I managed to achieve good results despite unfavourable circumstances. I believe one of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to use personalised strategies that suit the student's learning style so that they can benefit from their one-on-one lessons in a way that they don't have the opportunity to in the classroom.
