What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love being able to learn alongside my students by explaining concepts in my own words to solidify my own understanding whilst also providing useful and concise knowledge! It is extremely rewarding when someone you are helping understands a concept due to your instruction. This has happened on many occasions over my time at high school and is already beginning to happen with my peers at university. I am very excited to be able to help others with something I pride myself in!

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

My ability to connect with people I am working with is invaluable for being a tutor as it allows a connection to be formed with them and for communication to be established when learning trickier concepts. I want my students to feel like they can ask 'dumb' questions and I will achieve this with this strength. I achieved a 99.65 ATAR with an all-rounders award, including Mathematics Extension 2, Mathematics Extension 1, English Advanced, Biology, Chemistry and Legal Studies. This gives me a breadth of understanding in a variety of subjects which will allow me to be flexible as a tutor.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The most important things that a student should get out of tutoring include: - A sufficient understanding of the concepts learnt in that lesson - Confidence in what they have learnt - Security in their tutors ability to instruct them Hence, its important for a tutor to provide a safe and encouraging environment that fosters a good learning space, whilst also being effective at teaching!
