What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The thing I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing the lightbulb moment a student will have when an idea or concept I have been explaining to them has been understood. This reaction brings me immediate satisfaction as I know that I have communicated effectively.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Having worked with Ezymath Tutoring for 8 months and prior experience in private tutoring, I believe that my greatest strengths as a tutor are my outcome orientated focus and extensive experience in leading and working with both children and teenagers.
This is best exemplified in my previous role as a basketball referee instructing and teaching the fundamentals to players of all ages. Having first developed skills in communicating my knowledge and passion for basketball, I believe this has advantaged me now tutoring my friends and family academically.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think that the most significant thing a tutor can do for a student is to work with the students inherent interests and aptitudes.
When I reflect on the teachers and tutors that had the biggest impact on my schooling, the individuals that stand out are the ones that recognized and challenged me in the areas I naturally gravitated towards. I think this is very important and I try my hardest when teaching others to do the same!

Alex applied her previous knowledge did very well working on questions such as "selecting a committee if you know that a particular person will be chosen". These questions are usually challenging for students so she did a good job getting it first go.
Continue using shortcuts (e.g. the probability of selecting at least one blue ball is the same as 1 minus the chance of selecting no blue balls). If you think that you are doing a lot of working, there is probably a quicker way to do it.
