What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy STEM related disciplines thats why I am pursuing an engineering course at Melbourne University. I find it satisfying to show people the beauty of mathematics and the simplistic logic that drives this subject. I believe maths can help someone develop problem solving skills and therefore I would love to help other people also see how great of a subject it is. Moreover as a person who has been through this system as a selective science school student, I sympathise with the academic pressure that can often be challenging to deal with . As a tutor I hope to help with that too.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I am excellent at communication and building rapport. I have experience in debating and tennis coaching all of which has taught me how to develop strong relationships with people around me. I think I can connect well with the students and help them achieve their goals. I also have technical skills in maths and English. I am pursuing an engineering course at University Of Melbourne so I have built up a strong academic regime that I can hope will influence the students I tutor.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I think a tutor can guide students through their academic journey and provide them with extra support that their school might be lacking. I think this can be achieved through the tutor coming up with an effective learning plan with their students and through open communication about the students’ strengths and weaknesses. I think a tutor can also help inspire good study habits and help shape the students decisions for after school life and what they might wanna achieve in their life.
