What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

When I was in year 12, I enjoyed working as a peer mentor and tutor. I enjoy speaking with kids to determine which learning style best suits them. I enjoy offering my students individualised and customised tutoring sessions because I am aware that this is the most effective way for them to learn and comprehend. I also enjoy watching students gain confidence in topics and subjects that they had before found difficult or uninteresting. Since I always tutor for my favourite subjects, I am very excited about watching my students transform their dislike and dread of the subject into enjoyment.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a tutor, I am a patient, enthusiastic and committed person. I'm patient as I'm aware that topics in math typically need to be repeated to students few times before they fully understand them. I therefore always remain calm, positive, and patient. I'm really enthusiastic as I want to be positive and radiate that energy so that students are motivated and inspired to learn. Since I attend university online, Im also quite flexible and will have plenty of time to spend tutoring.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most crucial thing a tutor can do for a student is to be adaptable and have strong communication skills. Adability is crucial because not every student learns in the same way. I always adjust my approach in accordance with the needs and areas of difficulty of the student. It's crucial that I continue to be adaptable so that I can modify my teaching as the student progresses. Students need a tutor with good communication skills to learn. I always speak in terms they can understand. I always ensure I talk clearly, listen intently, use examples when I teach.
