What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Helping students to fully understand concepts and not letting them just memorise processes and information, that way they genuinely benefit from their studies and can solve and understand difficult and more complex questions that may come up in examinations and in real life. Knowing I have made a difference in somebody's life and the satisfaction of improving their academic report is what I think I would enjoy most about tutoring.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Having just graduated high school the information is still fresh in my mind. During my education I found that the smartest people don't necessarily make the best teachers, concepts need to be explained and adapted in a certain way to be understood and relatable to students. As I have experienced this firsthand I believe I have comprehensive knowledge on how to teach and adapt concepts so that they can be easily received and understood.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Treating each student as an individual, not one method of study or plan can be copied and pasted onto every person. Understanding whether somebody is an auditory, visual or kinesthetic learner is so important to know when preparing learning materials and when tutoring students. Further, taking the time to understand the marking keys and expectations of teachers from different schools in order to maximise a students academic success is essential, this is especially important for students in upper school. Finally, it is so important to be organised, punctual and prepared for every session.
