What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring has many enjoyable aspects. The satisfaction you get when you see a student smile after finally learning a concept is very enjoyable, as it means they can finally feel less stressed about a difficult concept. I love seeing students succeed and when I see them feel less stressed and increase their confidence in their subjects, it really would make me feel happy inside.
Another aspect I enjoy a lot about tutoring is how it will help in my personal development. I want to pursue a career in medicine in the future and I believe that tutoring will help me be a good doctor due to overlaps.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have two main strengths.
Firstly, I am able to empathize with the struggles that students face in their studies and can put myself in their shoes. This is because I once struggled with my academics and this experience really allows me to understand students on a deeper level, allowing me to help identify their areas of weakness more effectively and improve their grades.
Secondly, I am able to communicate in a very easy-to-understand way, through both verbal and non-verbal communication, to help students understand certain concepts that they are struggling in.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing for a tutor to do is build confidence in students. The students that approach tutors are usually ones that are struggling to cope with school and activities, leading to them falling behind on their academics. This can seriously lower their confidence and make them question their abilities. As a tutor, it should be their job to inspire the students to continue to try hard in their academics, as improvement is a long-term process that requires hardwork and dedication. Tutors should inspire confidence in students through trying to identify their areas of improvement.
