What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
It's hard to know considering I haven't tutored before, but I would look forward to feeling satisfaction in witnessing the growth in confidence of the student in their studies as I help them work through challenges and reach their potential.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
As someone who's had to work extremely hard at particular subjects to show improvement, a strength would be my ability to pass on essential knowledge about study tips, regular feedback and the importance of consistency in receiving improved results. Also, I have an abundance of my own personal notes and exemplar pieces which would highly benefit the individual in modelling a standard to strive towards. However, my number one strength would be the motivation and support I would endow upon the students, guiding and encouraging them to improve.
Most important things I can do for a student π
- Give them regular feedback and answer questions to help them improve and in turn grow their own confidence in their abilities
- Engage, motivate and encourage the student in their studies so that they study because they want to not because they're forced to, this is especially important in establishing consistency in work and improvement
