What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love to see that I can give back what I have learnt.
I love to see the "ah ha" moment in people. It always feels good having that moment and so I like to also live it vicariously through tutoring.
It's also a nice way to revise the basics that usually 'slips' away that comes with learning at higher levels.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I consider myself a very outgoing person; I love talking in front of crowds.
I can show content in a variety of ways that best works with students particularly.
I have a personable character; makes it easier for students to engage with what I am teaching.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Patience.
Once we know something, it's easy to forget how we actually learnt that content. Therefore, it's important to always be persistent with someone's learning, and to never just keep using the same method then give up.
Another aspect is structure. If you give students an expectation and guidance in what they need to do, it's more likely to be achieved. For example, handing out weekly sets of questions; it really shows where knowledge is lacking than simply "do you understand?".
