What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

One of the most satisfying things you can do as a tutor is teaching someone not only the knowledge that they paid for, but also a passion for the subject that they're being taught. Seeing people grow and develop as you teach them, and learning to not just endure, but enjoy their work, is amazing. I realise what I said is a bit cheesy, but it is honestly my favourite part about teaching people.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Firstly, I really do enjoy teaching. I know people who are very academic who tutor as a job because it is well paid. However, simply knowing the material does not make a good teacher. My passion for teaching and experience allows me to comfortably adapt to my students' needs and tailor their learning based on their individual strengths and weaknesses. I am frequently described as being a friendly person: my students are always able to relax around me, which is important because without this, some students may not be comfortable expressing their thoughts and ideas.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is teach them how to think for themselves and work out how to solve a problem. Showing the answer to a problem is well and good, but encouraging students to try figure out the answer by themselves, with gentle guidance on how they should tackle the problem should they be stuck, will teach them to be able to adapt to any problem that may come up in school, rather than just a specific set of problems. This has profound value as these skills will extend to their daily lives and future careers.
