What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

It allows me to pass on my knowledge to the future generations which I find incredibly fulfilling and being able to help students to achieve their goals academically. Adding on to the second part, although I think school is much more than just the numbers, they are undoubtedly integral to one’s school life. This is why I value the fact being a tutor enables me to help students to reach their academic goals which from my own experience is extremely satisfying.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I’m a recent high school graduate so i can make closer connections with students from all age groups more easily. Furthermore, I’m incredibly familiar with the current HSC curricula, allowing me to better understand the more problematic aspects of esch topic so I can focus more time in sessions to help students improve on those weaker areas. I have also had a long history of lending assistance to my peers and students in lower grades. I enjoyed the process of helping others to make them think outside of the box and truly understand the WHY behind each question rather rote memorisation.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can and SHOULD absolutely do for students is to find out what truly lies behind the student’s weaknesses. Whether that could be weak foundational knowledge or not enough practice, to things like not fully understanding what the question is asking for or the topic they are learning. This way consequent to identifying the weaknesses, tutors can then proceed to lay out personalised plans to get the student up to speed. In addition, the ability for tutors to connect with their students is integral to healthy and productive relationships between the two parties.
