What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
There are a lot of things that I enjoy about tutoring. First of all, all of us have been at that stage where we are unable to tackle a maths problem and then someone comes like an angel and helps us understand the problem which then seems like a cakewalk. I have been fortunate enough to have learned from some of the great minds in the field and tutoring allows me to give back to society in the form of knowledge. It also gives me time to do what I enjoy, that is, spending time with kids and solving maths problems simultaneously.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I think I have all the necessary skills and expertise that would be a great match for your company's culture and initiatives. From my experience, I have gained the ability to listen to the students' problems and understand them from their points of view. Teaching children also taught me how important it is for a teacher to be patient while addressing student problems. Having a stronghold of not just one, but three languages (English, Hindi, and Punjabi) is another factor that will allow me to understand the problems better of students coming from a range of diverse backgrounds.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I understand that the role of a tutor is to teach students to look at things from a new perspective. It is not just re-teaching but also re-directing and motivating students in the right direction rather than just solving the questions for them. A tutor can play a crucial role in encouraging the student's ability and confidence to take steps that will help them overcome a problem, especially if it's a maths problem. This allows them to gain the essential ability to tackle problems independently in the future, which is very crucial for Mathematics students.
