What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy the sense of accomplishment the most. The way that teaching student step by step is a great process for me. Also, mathematical problem-solving is one of the most enjoyable things in my life. This is why I choose Civil Engineering as the major of my university study. Therefore, I can say that I have a great passion for mathematical tutoring.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I study Statistics and Calculus as an elective in high school in Hong Kong. Also, I have competing many Hong Kong Mathematical Olympiad competitions in my primary school studies. Therefore, I have better knowledge of algebra and calculus at the early stage of my education process. Moreover, as a 4th-year engineering student, I am doing mathematics questions almost in every course in the university. Therefore, I have the confidence to have enough knowledge to tutor primary school and high school students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Firstly, the importance of aligning with parents and students. An excellent tutor will begin by conducting a thorough interview with the students and parents. Everyone will have a different perspective on the student's abilities, including any special needs they may have, such as ADHD. A good tutor should use different strategies for students, to maximize the efficiency of the tutoring. Secondly, we should build confidence of the students. To give students the impression that their skills are developing, tutors should continually boost their confidence and check for progress of understanding.
