What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Although I have not had direct experience in tutoring, I have been practising as a personal trainer and similar concepts apply to the way I teach. I enjoy helping students to learn new concepts and seeing them fully understand it and realise they are capable of completing the task themselves is very rewarding. I value learning and growth a lot, so being able to pass on knowledge makes me feel fulfilled.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am a patient and passionate tutor when it comes to teaching. I am also very encouraging and provide positive feedback to students. I am clear in the way I teach and I keep it simple for students to understand by breaking down concepts into smaller 'digestible' chunks. I communicate clearly and ask that students actively demonstrate recall of what they learnt by summarising in their own words what I have taught them so that I know they have learnt it correctly.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Being patient and encourage students to ask questions, and no question is off limits because they are here to learn and improve. Additionally, teaching students in a way that empowers them with new knowledge and the why behind each theoretical concept so that they can understand it deeper, and not just the how. So that when they come across different questions, these principles can be applied to various questions and scenarios. Asking students their preferred method of learning style and catering to their needs, for example using visuals for students who are more visual learners.
