What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I deeply enjoy the feeling of knowledge clicking into place, and by tutoring, I can help others experience the click as well. These moments give me the happiness that comes with learning as well, and it's always inspiring to see others love learning as well.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my strength lies in my adaptability in connecting with every student to work with the way they learn best. For instance, in 2019-2020, the students I tutored preferred in-person learning, and often required analogies and interesting stories to aid in remembering content. On the other hand, this year, I often led sessions online, as it is more accessible for us to hold sessions online where we do not have to waste time travelling. My personal experience improving my marks to ultimately achieve an ATAR of 99.75 with a Band 6 in Physics, Chemistry, English Adv, Maths Adv, Ext 1 and 2 is also a result of my range of study habits - something I am eager to share.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think apart from seeing results, it is the tutor's responsibility to foster a student's love of learning and love for a subject since learning is one of the most rewarding experiences in life. I believe it is also pivotal that a tutor guides understanding rather than forces it. That is, it is the role of the tutor to not only teach a student content. but also how to learn and revise it.
