What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy working with people and helping them out - I believe that everyone learns a different way and I like the idea of being able to help individuals find their own ways of learning and getting better at a subject.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that I am a very patient person, and I want to make people feel comfortable around me. I have a lot of experience working with kids that are a range of different ages, and I feel that I have a good knowledge of subjects like maths, science and history to be able to find different ways to teach them. In Year 12 this year, I came first in Maths Advanced, Modern History and Society and Culture.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Often in school, teachers teach a subject in only one way rather than catering for each individual in the class, which can often make students feel 'dumb' or hate the subject. I believe the most important things that a tutor can do for a student is to show them the many different ways to approach the subject and help them to find a new way that works for them, that they can understand themself and that overall improves their confidence. It is also so important that tutors create an environment where students feel able to feel comfortable to ask questions and get things wrong.
