What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I've always appreciated assisting my peers, especially during my academics. Aside from that, I looked up to my mother because she teaches high school students, which was evident when she brought me to her class one day, and her excitement for teaching her students encourages me to be one as well. When I first started my college studies, I struggled since I couldn't keep up with my studies. With that said, I hope to be someone who can help students. I'd like to share my knowledge with others and see them grow.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

In school, I interact with my classmates in a variety of ways. Being an engaged listener with strong interpersonal skills demonstrated during group projects and public speaking during presentations enables me to engage with people. This helps me to understand the needs of the students by chatting with them one on one and understanding the students' educational needs so that classes may be personalised to the students. In addition, I am an empathic person. Being observant and attentive, I would sometimes listen to their difficulties. As such, I would try to be understanding and lenient.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

As a tutor, one should have good listening skills so that they can understand student's problems. Being empathic also allows tutors to comprehend what students who are unsure, anxious, overwhelmed, or simply does not grasp the problem. A tutor should not make assumptions about students and should treat all students as people who are interested in learning and have the ability to learn regardless of their potential. Most importantly, a tutor should wish to assist students attain their full potential and motivate them by pushing them to strive for excellence and recognising their own abilities.
