What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The main enjoyment is the fact that growing up I was also once a student at an education centre so I can understand what the students sitting in front of me are thinking to some degree. And knowing that I may be able to help someone get into their dream university or get their dream grade brings me joy as I know very well the pleasure of getting rewarded for your hard work, back from my final year!

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe one of my strengths is me approaching each student and the way they learn differently. One student may learn better by being taught from first principles, whereas another student may learn better by doing more exercises in a textbook. It is all dependent on the way the student thinks and learns. Another strength is that having been taught at a tutorial centre myself and having my tutor to thank for my results, I understand the importance of having the students learn the material as they are putting in extra hours and money outside of school hours and I empathise with them.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing in my opinion a tutor can do for a student is to let the student know it is okay if they are making mistakes because I have seen that even letting the student know they understand can go a long way. Another important thing is that the tutor focuses on the weaknesses of a particular student and try to isolate them and work on them instead of only focusing on the strengths and having the student achieve top grades in those. Lastly, tutors can help guide students in areas that teachers in the schools might not be able to due to the lack of time they can give every student
