What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
When the student understands and visibly shows improvement always gives me the feeling that I'm teaching the right way for the student. Able to see their enjoyment of learning is also a plus when tutoring with students.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
For younger students in primary school, students tend to have shorter attention spans and are developing their english skills. I believe my strength as a tutor would be to have patience and to be able to make my classes engaging for my students. Communication was a key strength in my previous experience with younger students, therefore, picking up students' learning methods; majority of the students I've encountered preferred visual learning, helped them through their studying.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
It is crucial for teachers to be patient with students who are learning fresh topics as it takes time to process new information. Students can become distracted or find the subject/topic with no interest, this gives an important responsibility for a tutor to be engaging and encouraging for students to strive for learning. I also believe if the teacher enters the room with a sense of motivation and purpose, it would encourage a more positive attitude for students to learn. Another effective tool for a tutor to use is exploring various methods of learning or trying new ways for better learning.
