What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I have not yet had a lot of experience on tutoring as I have just finished Highschool. I have been helping my peers and friends through highschool although, especially in math and science subjects, such as maths methods, further maths, specialist maths, physics and chemistry. I found that when helping others it also helped me understnd the topic to a greater degree. I also enjoyed helping other people and seeing their satisfaction after understanding something themselves.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have very good notes which I have accumulated over the years. I have kept my notes throughout my whole highschool experience which means I can quickly help students and I do not need to re-learn the content to such a great degree becuase of my notes. I have just finished highschool, which means my performance is at it's peack. I remeber all the content to a great degree and I can teach it as best as possible. I can also explain things very thoroughly, to as much detail as the student requires.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is listen to the student and try to understand what it is they actually need to learn. Sometimes a tutor is teaching something but they are not actually listening to what the student is asking, which is false. It is also important to personalise how a tutor teaches to how a student learns. Although this is achieved with experience and getting to know the student, there are things you can do to speed this process up, such as paying attention to what kind of questions the student asks and figuring out ways students approach problems.
