What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

When I've prepared a lot for a lesson, and when it's executed, it goes to plan, my resources are used effectively and I can clearly see that my student has learnt from the lesson, or improved. And that there is a good rapport between my student and I.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe I'm a strong believer in my student, and will continue to push gently and encouragingly so my student can learn whatever is required. This is done by being patient, and envisioning my student's success. I'm also really good at making powerpoints that greatly aid me in my teaching. I use visual cues, audio cues and lots of opportunities for my student to practice/be hands on, which allow them to learn effectively. Powerpoints not only add a visual and fun aid, it adds structure to our lessons which helps both the student and I stay on track.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Patience, encouragement, support and passion. When I think back on my good teachers, they were people who treated me fairly, respected me, believed in me and were also skilled in their profession. They were patient with me and never used negativity/insults to motivate my learning. They were very encouraging and I felt believed in. And I think I'm capable of doing the same for students. When we believe in our students, they learn that they should believe in themselves. Of course, being skilled, and finding out how the student learns best is another great skill for a tutor to help students.
