What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy tutoring people as it helps me go back to my roots and understand what content I may be rusty on. Mainly, I like teaching people as a whole so I can see their overall progress and growth, specifically in a topic I am passionate about. I'd be able to be proud of the student and myself for being able to learn and teach respectively.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I feel as I am attentive to the needs of people/students and tailoring what content to teach against their weakpoints. It also helps to solidify my understanding of the content. I know the content backwards and forwards as I did every question in the Cambridge Mathematical Methods Textbooks, especially Unit 3 & 4 where bulk of the content is about calculus. I can therefore understand how far I need to step back or forward, depending on the student, so I can help them develop a strong foundation to learn from others and by themself.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

A tutor should be able to consider the wants and needs of the student, as well as keeping a steadily growing pace in terms of learning content. If a student is lacking in a specific area, the tutor should be able to recognise that and determine or formulate content plans to help mitigate that. I believe any and every student should learn and master the basics first before diving into uncharted territory. This ensures a strong basis for the content the students can branch into.
