What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy improving the intellect of my student while consolidating my knowledge in that certain area alongside. I also enjoy having the independence of tutoring students without having someone holding my hand or looking over my shoulder. This enables me to adapt to the real world and improve my problem-solving skills and time management skills as well. Connecting with my students to ensure that they are able to reach their full potential not only academically, but socially and mentally. As a tutor, my main strengths include but are not limited to patience, communication skills and openness. Every student is different and they have various learning methods. I excel in the ability to not rush through the work or seem impatient as this can discourage the student to study. I am able to understand a student's needs as I am able to communicate clearly and effectively. This also allows me to keep the attention of the student. The most important thing I believe a tutor can do for their student is to give them the support they require to the best of their ability. Understanding the different situations a student faces is also beneficial as it not only enables you to come up with a better plan but will make the student feel valued thus making a difference in their academics.
