What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy being able to help students that are in similar situations to myself when I was in high school. As someone who was able to move up a year and got into a selective stream in my chosen high school, I owe a lot of my success to the tutors and people who took extra time to teach me growing up, and for that reason I would love the opportunity to do that for someone else.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe I have a strong ability to communicate complicated information in an understandable way, as well as my ability to connect with young people. Due to my experience as a netball coach, teaching kids from ages 7-15 I've been able to build on these skills of teaching and connecting and take pride in the fact that I can empower young people to achieve their goals, both on and off the court. On a more technical aspect I am excellent at teaching creative writing skills to young people, and assisted many of my peers during the HSC with this, resulting in them getting high marks.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is instil a sense of confidence with whatever it is they are doing. Not every single student is going to be able to achieve a 99 ATAR or 100% on all their tests, but what is most important is that they feel confident that they did their very best and performed to their fullest potential. If a student is able to go in and out of a test feeling happy and confident, the tutor has successfully done their job.
