As a first-year university student who just graduated from high school last year, I still keep the high school knowledge fresh in my mind. I have been patient and helpful in answering questions from my friends and children of my family friends in casual and informal tutoring, and some of these are still continuing. In the teaching phase, student-focused teaching would be my method of teaching, which is to discover what the students need instead of dumping knowledge, whilst showing respect and understanding. When a student raises concerns about a question, which I assume in maths and sciences usually composites of concepts from multiple areas of study, I would also like to discover at what point the student has difficulty understanding.
