What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

I like to help children through difficult situations, such as having a lot of trouble grasping a concept. I like building a rapport with my students, figuring out their interests, and seeing how I can apply their interests to their learning.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

I have a lot of sensitivity and empathy. When I was younger, I struggled with learning at times, especially reading, so I understand what does not come easy in learning, so I know how to teach it. Additionally, when a child struggles and becomes upset, I am understanding, and I can help with this area before continuing with learning.

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

Having empathy, because not all content comes too easy for students as it does for us, obviously. Having patience, because it can be frustrating if a tutor just expects a student to "get it" immediately. Being kind. This seems obvious but you may be surprised the number of teachers I've had and met who are not kind, and they are extremely hard to learn from.
