What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being involved for the learning experience in other people and seeing them reach their full potential. I was not always a high achieving student and it took years for me to learn how I study most effectively, but I did it alone. I would love to share the skills and discipline I have learned with younger students and help them guide their learning so they may achieve their potential faster, and I would be thrilled to know that I helped them move past any self doubt or fears they have and know anyone can reach their goals with enough dedication and support around them.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think I am patient as I understand what it is like to be stuck and frustrated - but I believe I help students take a breath, take a step back and try again. It can be de-motivating to have somebody who is not patient with you when you don't understand. I believe I can break formulas and processes down in a simple way that makes it easier to approach, plus encouraging lots of practice to allow them
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe it is most important to remember that everybody learns differently - understanding how your student learns best and also being patient in explaining and guiding them is the most effective way to teach, as there is no judgement and the person feels comfortable asking the silly
Questions, which allows them to truly understand the content and not second-guess out of embarrassment.
