My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I employ a systematic approach to problem solving, both in my own studies and when assisting others. I begin by ensuring core concepts of a subject are fully understood, then seeking for ways to break complex problems into simpler parts which can be easily solved once conceptual understanding is solidified. My recent experience of the HSC in 2021 has placed me in touch with the typical obstacles faced by students in their studies, as well as teaching me ways to overcome them. This has granted me solid knowledge of the course material and will also allow me to better connect with students.

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to change their perspective on learning by fostering a genuine appreciation for their subjects of study. By encouraging an enthusiasm for learning, students will become more motivated to improve their own skills and knowledge - adopting a 'growth mindset' which can have a significant long-term impact on their learning journey as well as beyond the classroom. From my own experience as a student, I believe that this mindset proves invaluable for maximizing what a person receives out of their education.
