What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Teaching is the path I chose for my career, and I have never regretted it once, and the main reason is the fulfillment that comes with it. It can be tedious and demanding at times, but at the end of the day, when I see my students gain the wisdom I've just imparted on them, it gives me the most rewarding feeling. Tutoring in particular is very gratifying because it gives me the opportunity put all my focus on helping a student achieve their goal, and as a result they gain more confidence in their own skills. I realize that my job is also to help them believe in themselves.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I've learned that understanding the students' learning style and listening to the them are key to good tutoring. Letting the students voice out their thoughts and listening to them help me understand their learning needs better. I am a compassionate teacher, who remains sensitive to my students' unique needs and I'm someone who offers positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and motivated. My goal is to foster and maintain an open, honest, communicative, and supportive classroom, in which the student feels safe, secure, special, and appropriately challenged.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Creating a safe and comfortable learning environment for a student is one important aspect of effective tutoring. The private setting is what sets apart tutoring and classroom learning. So much of learning is based on relationships, communication styles, understanding a student's background and their academic, social, and emotional growths which tutors have the opportunity to delve into and use as a guide to better help a student. A tutor's job is not just to help a student reach academic excellence, but also to teach a student to believe in him/herself and be a more independent learner.
