What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Overall, I really just love teaching. I have taught dance since I was of the legal working age, and have always loved working with younger kids, and helping them to the best of my abilities. I was also always willing to help other students within year 12 in the subjects that I was most confident with, and I really loved the feeling of pride and excitement when they found achievement in these subjects.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strongest strength as a tutor would either be my ability to connect with others through my confidence and people skills, or my patience when others are learning. Both of these skills are supported by my love for learning, and overall allow me to be a confident, but also effective teacher and tutor.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think that the most important thing for a tutor to do for a student is to be committed and patient. Commitment is necessary when a student is truly looking to succeed. A connection between tutor and tutee is essential in creating a positive learning environment, and therefore a tutor must be willing to commit and build this bond. Additionally, the aspect of patience, which I touched on earlier, is just as critical when allowing a student to learn and progress. If, for example, a tutor would get frustrated and/or rush through material, they would be preventing any form of effective learning.
