My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
One of my greatest strengths is that I am very patient and easy going. I know what it is like to not understand something, and how it can have a damaging effect on your confidence and stress levels. As a result, I believe that going through problems steadily, calmly, yet also thoroughly, can be a great way for students to understand and feel confident with a topic. I am also very enthusiastic and I always strive to make my lessons fun. If you make learning the subject a positive experience, I think students are more likely to enjoy themselves, feel more confident and thus get great marks!
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe it is essential for tutors to help students build confidence and self esteem in a subject. I think every student can do well if they have confidence and positive feelings towards a subject, regardless of what level they perform at initially. Another thing a tutor should do is to find the studentβs preferred method of learning, and structuring your lessons with that in mind. And lastly, ensuring that your students feel comfortable to ask questions, and that they are enjoying themselves is very important, as this will allow them to get the most out of the tutoring session.
